After a seemingly innocent conversation at book club, forty three year old wife and mother Paige finds herself questioning everything she thought she knew about marriage, desire, intimacy and herself.

What begins as curiosity about the local swingers club scene quickly spirals into a hilarious, awkward and painfully honest unravelling. Between disastrous attempts to spice up her marriage, uncomfortable conversations and a growing obsession with the idea of freedom, Paige starts confronting the invisible rules women are taught to live by and the parts of herself she may have buried somewhere along the way.

As Paige and her husband cautiously edge towards one final night that could change everything, the audience believes the danger lies in sex, temptation and betrayal.

But sometimes a marriage falls apart because of one tiny instinctive moment.

Darkly funny and emotionally sharp, Taboo La Rasa is a bold new dramedy about modern relationships, female identity and the quiet fractures that reveal who we really are when it matters most.
