EINE KLEINE NACHTMUSIK
„Eine Nacht im Reich des Schmetterlingkönigs“ Romantisches Ballett – W.A. Mozart, im Vorprogramm singen die Schönbrunner Schlosskatzen das „Katzenduett“ von Gioachino Rossini
Inhalt:

A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC „A Night in the Kingdom of the Butterfly King“ Romantic Ballet – W.A. Mozart, in the opening act the Schönbrunner PalaceCats sing Gioachino Rossini’s „Catsduett“.

Contents:
Fireflies and butterflies are buzzing in an evening mood. Sophie sits alone under a tree and shyly turns away when Thomas appears with a picnic basket. Puck, the little forest gnome appears and makes fun of the two. Sophie and Thomas fall asleep. In the dream of the two, the world of the butterfly king and his pink fairy appears. Flowers and a peacock dance, Puck and the unicorn appear. Sophie and Thomas wake up. Cheered up by the beautiful dream, they see the world around them with happier eyes.
If you ask outsiders what they know about Mozart, the answer comes: „A little night music“. And the insiders smile at the outsiders because they name this work first. For many, „A Little Night Music“ is the epitome of Mozart’s art. The piece by the Salzburg master in general. What is the attraction of this work, why do so many people know it? The topic is understandable for everyone, clear and well defined. The melodic theme speaks immediately. : „A Little Night Music“ is one of Mozart’s great successes. Like many of his works, it is conceived and composed with a light but fortunate hand. We don’t even know the „A Little Night Music“ in full. The first minuet and the trio have remained unknown to us. No copy of the period gives us the minuet and trio. The first edition did not appear until 36 years after Mozart’s death. Only during the Second World War did Mozart’s own handwriting come to light again. Almost everyone knows her now. Text after Rodolph Angermüller
In 1993, the Schönbrunn Palace Marionette Theater rehearsed a ballet based on this piece. Leonard Salaz staged the ballet in a playful and magical way. The „little night music“ is a dream, light and lively, like the musical template. Imaginative and sensitive. A Romansh dream, regardless of language and age.
